The Route Plan & The Bike Condition of my Yamaha XT660Z.

This video is part of a series that I am going to make about the preparation for my next long motorcycle trip. In this episode, I will tell you a few words about my route and the overall bike condition.
Preparation is the key to success and when I said this phrase I really mean it. Many might say now:
"Pavlin, NordKapp is not a big deal, why you worry so much about it?"
I never worry about any trip, I just want to be prepared. This will help me and the people around me to have a better experience.
The advice I want to give you now is to take any trip absolutely serious. It doesn't matter how long or how difficult it might be. Underestimating the situation might lead you to very serious circumstances and even cost your life. So no more preaching, let's jump into the route first.
I will start in Berlin, Germany. Will ride through Denmark and take the Ferry to Christiansand, Norway. From there I will head North, completely skipping South Norway, because I was there about 5 years ago and already saw the most famous places. On my way up I will visit many interesting points include The Atlantic Ocean Road and Lofoten Islands and finish in Nord Kapp. This will be the first part. After that, I will ride back through Finland, go for a while in Russia, just to visit St. Petersburg and come back into Europe. Will ride through Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and finish in Bulgaria. This will be the second stage. The third part will be only in Bulgaria and I will try to show you the most famous places in my country. The detailed route in Bulgaria I will upload later in the year.
All right, that everything about the route. If you want to suggest something, meet me on the road or offer help you are more than welcome to drop me an e-mail, link in the description below. Let's see now what is the current condition of the bike.
Let me give a quick tour around the modifications I have so far and then I can continue what I plan to do more.
Overall, the Tenere is in very good condition, even that it has more than 140,000km on the clock. Of course, I am going to check and replace many parts. For example, wheel bearings, brake pads, and even the rear brake rotor, because it has a serious edge already.
New tires and the new tubes are obvious. I already have the Mitas 07+ on the rear, but I will change the front as well. They haven't got it when I was changing the rear.
I will do the standard maintenance, oil and filters change and new spark plug. I will also change the oil on the forks and inspect the seals for leaking.
A few more things need to be checked, like all cables, electric connections, fuses and many more. The battery still works well, but I might decide to change later because it is already 11 years old.
I have done a few new modifications and of course, I will talk about it as well.
Because I don't have a garage here I wouldn't be able to film everything from the working process, but at least I will give you more details on every part of the preparation.
