From 2006-2010 I sailed solo from Europe to Australia in a small sailing boat. This became the subject of a documentary called Between Home. Now the journey continues around the world in a Land Rover named Penny:

My route will take me from the most southern road in Australia (South East Cape, Tasmania) to the most northern road in Europe (Nordkapp in Norway), including a lap around Australia via the Simpson Desert and the top end (completed in November 2019).

Penny is a 1991 Land Rover 110, designed and built in Australia by the Australian army in collaboration with Land Rover. She is currently being shipped by sea container from Perth, Australia, to Cape Town, South Africa, where the journey will continue in January 2020.
