ABOUT JOE:
Joe is a Southern California native who lives in Orange County with his wife Renee and his English Bulldog Peter. He’s the father of two sons, and he and Renee have been members of Mesa Church in Irvine since 1993.
He has served as a Biblical Counselor since 1987, working full time with men and women dealing with sexual struggles, and with families who have lesbian, gay, or transgendered loved ones. He’s also served as a Case Manager for Chino Hills Psychiatric Hospital, and Day Program Teacher for New Life Ministries.

Joe has authored nine books, including "Christians in a Cancel Culture," "When Homosexuality Hits Home", "The Game Plan: The Men’s 30-Day Strategy for Attaining Sexual Integrity," and "The Gay Gospel? How Pro-Gay Advocates Misread the Bible". He is also a contributing writer to The Christian Research journal and The Stream online magazine.

He served as the President of Exodus International from 1990-1993, and as the Program Director of the Every Man’s Battle Seminar with New Life Ministries from 2000-2004. Joe was also the keynote speaker for the Focus on the Family's Love Won Out Conference from 1998-2011. He has addressed congregations, seminars, and conferences throughout the US, and has spoken in Norway, Spain,Hong Kong, Geneva, Costa Rica, Denmark, St. Thomas, Mexico, Sweden, and Canada. He has also been a guest speaker at Liberty University, Princeton Theological Seminary, West Palm Beach Atlantic University, and the annual convention of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Joe’s media experience is extensive, including Christian and secular interviews on radio and television, including Focus on the Family, One America's "The Dan Ball Show", The ABC Evening News, The700 Club, The Joan Rivers Show, The Bible Answer Man, Janet Parshall Live, The Laura Ingram radio show, TBN, and James Robinson.

He and Renee have been married since 1987. They both love classic films, the beach, Keto-friendly deserts, hymns, live theater, good Bible studies, hard workouts, and cuddling with Peter, the Amazing Bulldog while watching Turner Classic Movies.
