Save these bucket list spots for your Lofotens trip in Northern Norway!
1. Explore the most beautiful football field
Henningsvaer has one of the most iconic football pitches in the world. It’s sits just south of the town on a peninsula and feels like the end of the world
2. Trolsketunga
Hike Torsketunga the trolltunga of the Lofotens. The trail is a little dicey but the views are incredible.
3. Hamnoy
If you go on the bridge overlooking Hamnoy, you will see this iconic view of the rorbuers. Rorbouer’s are the red traditional cabins that fisherman used to live and they are the quintessential Norwegian cabin. Many have been renovated to be more comfortable and are a perfect base for exploring the Lofotens.
4. Lofoten Beach Camp ⛺️
Brave the Arctic ocean and and surf the Lofotens. We stayed at a surf camp for two nights and loved it.
5. Explore Ryten and Kvalvika beach
The Lofotens are famous for white sand beaches and coral blue Arctic waters. These beaches are great spots to see this affect with the water, cliffs and sand.
6. Reinebringen
The Rienbringen stairs are an iconic hike outside of Reine and can’t be skipped. The stairs were built by some Nepalese Sherpas who flew over just to make them in the same style as the Himalayahs. We actually met one of these Sherpas when we did the EBC trek and later saw his stairs!
7. Devil’s Rock: An epic hike in Svolvaer. This takes about an hour to get up and is fairly easy.
