In Part 2, I'm finally getting into Norway's mountains and Fjords, as well as the highlight of the trip so far: The North Cape! It was amazing to have made it there by bike. But unfortunately, problems with my Achilles' tendon start to intensify...
Last summer, I (Henrik) went on a journey around Scandinavia. 6.000km in 30 days - 200km every single day. With this trip, I wanted to promote a vegan diet and show what you can do on plant based nutrition. My Scandinavian Vegan Ultracycle pushed me to my absolute limits, physically as well as mentally.
After over half a year of preparation, I finally set off from Helsinki in July 2021, together with my team. This ride was about pushing limits, having fun with friends, exploring and enjoying nature in Scandinavia, having good food, and showing the strength of plant-based nutrition.
Unfortunately, it was a tough ending after 13 days: My Achilles tendon was close to tearing, so I was told to stop riding. This was one of the toughest moments I've ever had, as I knew at that point, that I was able to do this ride physically - just not physiologically.
