Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to today's video. We're going to look at the weather for the next ten to fourteen days for this video. Day ten will take us to the twenty-fourth of July - and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended GFS and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) - We'll have a look at CFS v2 for the next four weeks taking to the first half of August at the end of the video.

High pressure will be ridging in from off the Atlantic in the next few days bringing a lot of warm and dry weather it. Looking ahead to the early part of next week it still looks as though we're going to have an extreme heatwave with temperatures pushing up into the mid to upper thirties Celsius. Heat alerts have been extended from the Met Office and now cover Sunday through Tuesday and today's model output actually shows an increasing risk of 40C being reached early next week...
