The most dangerous thing about the KTM 1290 super adventure R, is not mechanical or structural. It’s electrical.
There probably is no greater nightmare than losing the KTM fob, which would basically leave you with a dead bike.
The same is probably true for Ktm’s 1290 super adventure S and the KTM 1290 super duke. I’ve read countless reports of people losing the fob and then not being able to replace it for several months. I can’t imagine a greater problem. Ktm needs to fix this.
Ascanio is a digital nomad who loves to work and travel the world with Nikita (his KTM 1290 Super adventure R). They are currently on a solo round-the-world adventure motorcycle riding expedition.
Late in 2021 Ascanio started his motorcycle expedition. After two months in Mexico and a week and a half in Belize, Ascanio started a motorcycle travel channel. After a month in Guatemala, two and a half weeks in El Salvador he is now in Honduras and will soon travel to Nicaragua then Costa Rica.
His goal is to travel all the way to the end of the world, Argentina. Not only is Ascanio interested in seeing the most beautiful places, trying the best foods in the region, and indulging himself in the most extreme sports, he now has a mission: to provide small water filtration devices to remote villages I don't have access to clean water. Ascanio currently has two amazing sponsors (Iambic dreams and Hubeco TV) and is working with Turismo filantropico

About Ascanio
In 2001, Ascanio created, hosted, produced and helped shoot an underwater series for the Travel Channel called Shark Chasers. That year he traveled to the worlds most shark-infested waters to hand feed, hypnotize and even ride the gentlest and most terrifying sharks on the planet. That same year he discovered rock climbing and mountain biking. Since then Ascanio has been mountain biking and climbing the most extreme terrain he can find in the western United States. Now he has a new passion: adventure motorcycle riding.
Ascanio is currently in Central America enjoying Work and Travel as a Digital nomad while riding his KTM 1290 super adventure R touring some of the most dangerous, exotic and exciting countries exploring places that are well off the beaten track to learn and pursue his passion for extreme sports.
It looks like now Ascanio wants to take his extreme mountain biking skills and apply them to more adventurous off-road terrain. He currently has a 1290 KTM super adventure but is now looking at a new bike. Although he considered the 2022 BMW 1250 GS, and 2022 Africa Twin bikes, his eyes are set on q new 2022 ktm 1290 super adventure r or the smaller 2022 KTM 890 adventure R and/or ktm 890 adventure rally motorcycles. He might even buy the KTM 890 and leave it in the US.
To allow all of this incredible Work and Travel to be possible
Ascanio is a Digital Nomad blessed to help the most amazing coaching and consulting company in real estate, Workman Success Systems. He's been with Workman since 2018 as a senior coach and loves nothing more than to help his clients reach their lofty goals in all areas of life.
