The most dangerous thing about the KTM 1290 super adventure R, is not mechanical or structural. It’s electrical.

There probably is no greater nightmare than losing the KTM fob, which would basically leave you with a dead bike.

The same is probably true for Ktm’s 1290 super adventure S and the KTM 1290 super duke. I’ve read countless reports of people losing the fob and then not being able to replace it for several months. I can’t imagine a greater problem. Ktm needs to fix this.

Ascanio is a digital nomad who loves to work and travel the world with Nikita (his KTM 1290 Super adventure R). They are currently on a solo round-the-world adventure motorcycle riding expedition.

Late in 2021 Ascanio started his motorcycle expedition. After two months in Mexico and a week and a half in Belize, Ascanio started a motorcycle travel channel. After a month in Guatemala, two and a half weeks in El Salvador he is now in Honduras and will soon travel to Nicaragua then Costa Rica.

His goal is to travel all the way to the end of the world, Argentina. Not only is Ascanio interested in seeing the most beautiful places, trying the best foods in the region, and indulging himself in the most extreme sports, he now has a mission: to provide small water filtration devices to remote villages I don't have access to clean water. Although he considered the 2022 BMW 1250 GS, and 2022 Africa Twin bikes, his eyes are set on q new 2022 ktm 1290 super adventure r or the smaller 2022 KTM 890 adventure R and/or ktm 890 adventure rally motorcycles. He might even buy the KTM 890 and leave it in the US.
