So here is the video of Day 1 in Lofoten.
Lofoten is known for a distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands. Due to the warm Gulf Stream, Lofoten has a much milder climate than other parts of the world at the same latitude. Between late May and mid July one can experience the midnight sun, whilst the northern lights can be viewed from September to mid April.

Lofoten is the destination for hiking, climbing, fishing, kayaking, skiing, Arctic surfing (in the summer AND winter), and cycling.

We stayed in an airbnb house for three days which was located in Ballstad village in Lofoten. It is one of the largest fishing villages in Lofoten.
For our first day in Lofoten, we explored around Ballstad village and then went for a hike to the Kvalvika beach. The hiking starts from Fredvang and is a 4,4km hike to the beach. It took us around 1 hour to reach the Kvalvika beach.

Kvalvika beach is a must go to places in Lofoten. The beach faces the open sea on the north side of the Moskenesøya island and is surrounded by steep mountains that rise more than 600 meters.

It was late evening by the time we were done with our hiking. We spent a pleasant night at our airbnb house.
