Reine is located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago in Norway. It is one of the most picturesque towns in all of Lofoten. To get here, just simply follow the E10 down the island chain and you will run right through Reine. One of the coolest places to see in Reine was actually while hiking Reinebringen, the mountain that overlooks the entire area. The hike is a very very long stone staircase, not for the faint of heart but totally worth it.

I had wanted to do a Lofoten road trip for years and I was so glad that 2022 allowed me to do it. Other places I really enjoyed were Henningsvaer, Djupfjorden, Midnight kayaking at Eggum, Ryten, Unstad Beach, Offersøykammen, and Nusfjord. Drone laws in Norway: In order to fly your drone in Norway, you should have a A1/A3 certification in the OPEN category in any EU member state (I have one from Sweden). This allows you to fly (under certain restrictions) within other EU countries. The standard rules apply such as flying within visual line of sight, not flying at night, only 120 meters in elevation, and not over crowds or sensitive infrastructure. Furthermore, other restrictions may also be enacted by the Norwegian Tranport Authority. I used their official drone map on their website to plan my overflights beforehand.
