Today we took a trip up the fridgid coast of Northern New Hampshire. It was too cold to hit any of the trails nearby so we stopped to pop out the drone and fly around Pulpit Rock Tower as the kids played on the rocks.
.
(From the Friends of Pulpit Rock Tower website): The tower was built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Headquarters as part of the Harbor Defenses of Portsmouth, a series of military defenses around Portsmouth, New Hampshirempshire. It is the only one of fourteen coastal observation posts to survive from the World War II in the state. During the war, the tower was connected to nearby Fort Dearborn by telephone to relay observational measurements. Now owned by the state, it is periodically open to the public, and maintained by Friends of Pulpit Rock Tower, Inc.
