Tonight marks Rounds 9 & 10 of Season 5 of UKSimRacing’s Porsche Cup as hosted on iRacing!

The story continues with the paddock heading to Norway for Rudskogen Motorsenter. Lesser known compared to the rest of the circuits on this season’s calendar, the 2.02 mile course is not to be underestimated. With its 14 corners and two extended straights winding through the local Norwegian landscape and forestry which results in a 42 metre elevation change over the course of the lap, there shall be plenty of opportunities for our drivers to battle for position. In turn, consistency and pace shall jointly be tantamount to success from the first qualifying lap through to the chequered flag!

In the Gold class, with another pair of hard-fought victories last time out, Philipp Hammer has jumped into the championship lead with a five point advantage over both Tim Darracott and Lee Holmes. The gauntlet has been laid down for the rest of the class to find a way to match Hammer’s ferocious pace, but with so many of his rivals vying for second in the championship, could we see Hammer break away tonight?

In the Silver class, Ash England returned to form last week with a pair of wins seeing him retake the lead and move 22 points clear of the chasing pack as led by Roxanne Marshall. With the majority of his rivals having mixed fortunes in Germany, England shall be hoping for more of the same tonight. However, do not count out the resilience of Marshall, nor the ever-threatening pace of Shane Piggott and James Kirsop!
