It is time for us to raise the curtain on an all new season of UK Sim Racing’s Porsche Cup as hosted on iRacing!

Back by popular demand, the fifth season sees the return of the two rounds per venue format with each night of racing consisting of both an initial 12 minute Sprint followed by a 30 minute Feature. Additionally, competing drivers shall continue to be assigned to the Gold and Silver driver classes. However, what has changed is the frequency and volume of the season’s schedule with there now being a total of 18 rounds as split across nine venues, and race evenings occurring on a weekly basis. This means the racing shall be more regular, and even more intense as our drivers compete to take the championship crown in both the Drivers’ and Teams’ championships!

In the opening pair of rounds for the fifth season, our drivers get proceedings underway at the classic British circuit of Oulton Park. Located in the Cheshire countryside, the circuit is characterised by its numerous gradient changes; blind turns; and relatively compact road surface width. The net result is a track which is unrelenting in the pressure it places on drivers where even the smallest of mistakes can be extremely costly, and overtaking requires nerves of steel. This shall definitely be a season opener which puts our drivers’ abilities to the immediate test!
