The place I have now filmed is directly above Solli Krysset at the E6.
Only a stone's throw away is Soli Brug.
Will make a video from Soli Brug and the sawmill ruins by the Ågårdselva in a day or two.
As early as the 17th century, timber was cut on Sanne and Soli Brug. In the period 1860-1880, the mill was Northern Europe's largest, with 22 sawmills and approx. 600 workers. In 1925, the operation was closed down.
Since 1975, the Dørje-Berg family has taken over and restored the remaining buildings. Soli Brug appears today as a yard with 8 preserved houses and sawmill ruins by the Ågårdselva.
Since 1978, Soli Brug has developed into an important source for art. Significant exhibitions are organized which attract between 10 and 20,000 visitors.
