Join us as we go on a WHALE SAFARI in ANDENES and take a ROAD TRIP to the NORTH CAPE in NORTHERN NORWAY to enjoy the MIDNIGHT SUN and go on a BIRD SAFARI!

On this episode of Mapping It, we're exploring Northern Norway on a 4 day road trip! We start in Andenes with a morning WHALE SAFARI tour with Whale2Sea! It’s our first time going on a whale watching tour and Andenes is one of the BEST PLACES IN NORWAY FOR WHALE WATCHING! Then we begin our NORTHERN NORWAY ROAD TRIP from VESTERALEN TO NORDKAPP! We enjoy incredible MOUNTAIN SCENERY, visit a SAMI LAVVU for NORWEGIAN SOUVENIRS, and take a hike to SEE REINDEER!

Our Norway road trip takes us up to the North Cape, the northernmost point of continental Europe! We spot some arctic wildlife and then go on a BIRD SAFARI - it's one of the BEST THINGS TO DO IN NORTHERN NORWAY and we had a blast! Then we head to the visitor's center at NORDKAPP to explore the NORTH CAPE and admire the MIDNIGHT SUN! We learn about the history of the North Cape in Northern Norway and of course, we WATCH THE MIDNIGHT SUN at the NORDKAPP! The sun never sets during the period of the midnight sun and it was so cool to see it in person!

On our last day in Northern Norway, we drive from Alta to Tromsø and then explore the beautiful city of Tromsø, the capital of Northern Norway. After making our way through the scenic countryside, we head into Tromsø for our last day in this beautiful arctic region of Northern Norway. Tromsø has it all, from picturesque walking streets, to scenic overlooks, and even an underground roundabout! We explore the old town area of Tromsø, the Paris of the North, and stop by Tromsø Cathedral. Our final stop in Tromsø is a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the city of Tromsø! It was a great way to end our trip in Northern Norway! It’s THE BEST ROAD TRIP IN NORTHERN NORWAY so thank you for coming along for the ride!
