In the summer of 2020 we would fulfill a dream of driving all the way to the Nordkapp by motorbike.
Day 18:
Stryn to Sogndal along some of Norway's most beautiful fjord roads and mountain passes. Today's route takes us on a scenic journey along and across the Nordfjord, out to Leirgulen, and further south towards Stavang and Holmedal, where coast and fjord landscape meet with good views along narrow roads.
From Holmedal you drive into the country via the wonderful Viksdalen and over Gaularfjellet, one of Norway's national tourist routes. A spectacular experience awaits here with winding roads, panoramic views and impressive river courses and waterfalls, including the iconic Utsikten, which provides an airy view of the valley.
After the scenic descent from Gaularfjellet, the road follows the fjord landscape inwards towards Sogndal.
This route takes in the best nature that Norway has to offer, we get to experience the contrasts between coast, mountains and fjords, with constantly changing nature and idyllic villages.

This route is perfect for motorcyclists seeking varied riding experiences and unforgettable natural scenes.
