Atventurist Adventure series presents: Going to North Cape 2022.

Me and my cousin, we bought Honda CB500X model 2020 at summer 2020. Since then, we had a dream to drive up north, the northernmost point of continental Europe. It´s in Norway. Then COVID19 happened and we had a plan, that if we can´t go to Norway, we will at least drive to beautiful Lapland of Finland.

DAY 5

Day 5 started where the day 4 ended, at the hotel in northern Norway, at the village of Olderfjord. Because we were in a hotel, we had a delicious breakfast before start.

Once again the morning was very beautiful. Sun was shining and temperature was warm, but driving up to the mountains, it was pretty cold up there.

Road E6 goes from Olderfjord via Skaidi to the town called Alta. But in Skaidi, we decided to drive and see the legendary town of Hammerfest. It would take only 110 km extra, so we just went there to get some coffee. It was a really nice place, so I think I will find the way there some day in the future.

So back to the E6 and Alta city, where we ate a lunch at some restaurant. Alta is also a very interesting city, have to go back some day.

Then from Alta, it´s the road E45 that leads to Finland. It´s about 175 km from Alta to Norway - Finland border. On the way there there is a village or little town called Kautokeino. It´s about 130 km from Alta and we planned to stay there overnight, but because there was no sauna in the camping area, we decided to drive to Finland.

From Kautokeino to Nor-Fin border 45 km and from border to village or town called Hetta, only about 38 km.

So we were at the end of the day in Hetta and find a nice cabin with sauna. Hot sauna, cold beer and good sleep.

This fifth day was about 430 km (270 miles).
