Reliable charging infrastructure networks are the lifeblood of EVs. As the transition gathers pace, it’s imperative that we focus on and invest in energy grids to ensure they develop at the same rate and can power the ever-growing number of EVs on the road. We need more emphasis on coordination, planning and investment to address the challenges many regions are already experiencing as they build out charging infrastructure.

Key questions to be addressed will include the following:
⭕ How is growing energy demand for transportation impacting grid development?
⭕ Where does investment need to be targeted to upgrade grid infrastructure and best support electrified fleets?
⭕ How can utilities and regulators ensure timely and cost-effective grid upgrades while maintaining reliability and affordability for ratepayers?
⭕ Who needs to be in the room when multi-stakeholder conversations about energy grids take place?
⭕ How can regulators and policymakers promote collaboration and create a supportive regulatory environment for efficient grid upgrades?

This session is hosted by Climate Group.
