About 2,000 protesters marched on the streets of Athens on Thursday to voice their opposition against the proposed 2022 budget and demand a return to wage and pension levels pre-three bailouts.
Protesters, belonging to Labour unions and led by leftist organisations, held banners and marched to Syntagma square.
According to local reports, the new budget will increase the minimum wage by 2 percent, with further spending on social services limited due to needed expenditure on health and income support due to the ongoing pandemic.
