Who would have thought in Lapland, where it’s frozen for most part of the year, there lies a village build from gold rush? Tankavaara has been established because of gold prospecting, now it is a cultural and tourist attraction for gold panning. It also holds both the Finnish Championships and the World Championships in gold panning. This time we get to have a unique experience in search for gold through dirt, hard work and mosquito bites.
