We don't mean to sell Fargo short, but we weren't expecting a lot from North Dakota's most populous city. Sometimes, though, when your expectations are low you end up pleasantly surprised! While camping at Buffalo River State Park in nearby Glyndon, Minnesota we explore Fargo's history as the "Gateway to the West" and pay visits to Bonanzaville, the Viking ship and Norwegian stave church replicas at the Hjemkomst Center, and the amazing assortment of aircraft on display at the Fargo Air Museum including our all-time favorite, the North American P51D Mustang that changed the tide of World War II.

We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the western U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and dog Zoe are avid boondockers, so you'll seldom find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds.
