Shipping produces 3% of global GHG emissions, a share that is expected to grow under a business-as-usual scenario. But solutions exist, and leading governments companies are working together to set and achieve ambitious targets and strategies to decarbonize shipping while also providing economic opportunities, such as green fuel projects or new port infrastructure. This session will highlight existing efforts and related policy measures to reduce emissions from shipping and promote economic development that leaves no one behind.
