The Middletown Conservation Commission invites you to attend a special meeting on Invasive Plants in our Community on Monday, April 25, 2022, at 6:30pm in the Town Hall Council Chambers. The meeting will feature an informational talk by Kate Venturini Hardesty, an expert on invasive plants from URI’s Cooperative Extension. Invasive plants such as bittersweet, multiflora rose, and knotweed crowd out native species, spoil scenic views, damage landscaping, and can even harm structures such as brick walls and pavement. Come learn about the challenges they pose and explore ideas for managing these invasive species in our community.
