This is Part 18 of my trip continuing the journey, I had a comfortable night and set off in the morning looking forward to the day, hoping to see Saltstraumen - the World's strongest Maelstrom near Bodø, unfortunately I got there at the wrong time of day, however, the view was still great even though it was calm. I crossed into the Arctic Circle on one of the ferries and nearly missed it completely - too busy chatting with folk on the ferry.
The crowning glory of the day was the midnight sun though. I stopped at a campsite and a short walk from where I'd pitched my tent was a rocky foreshore and a perfect view of the sun hovering above the horizon at gone midnight. What a sight!

The whole journey took me through the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and into Norway right the way up to Nordkapp, the furthest point you can travel by motorcycle or car in mainland Europe and then back through Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Belgium and France over a 7 week period late May - mid July 2023
