Marieholm is a former ironworks and a small town in Gnosjö municipality in Jönköping County. The town lost its former status as an urban area in 2010 after declining population.
Marieholm's mill was founded by Anders Wingård in 1836. He named it after his wife Maria Petronella. It was the last ironworks that was started in Småland. Eventually, the Collén family took over the business and built a new mansion and expanded the farm. Marieholm's mill has had a blast furnace, foundry, nail forge, wire drawing and cloth weaving. Manufacturing took place of agricultural machinery such as threshers and straw cutters.
During the 1950s, the mill changed production to manufacturing leisure boats. It manufactured boats such as the sailboat IF-båten and the motorboat Marieholm 24. The boat production was discontinued in 1987 and the premises have now been converted into a theater, restaurant and conference hall.
A large stone warehouse was rebuilt into a working church in the early 1960s, Marieholm's church.
The resort has neither a school nor a shop. They were closed in the early 2000s.
Between Marieholm and Hillerstorp there is a canal, which was previously used to transport goods from the industries in Marieholm to the railway in Hillerstorp. Now the old port has also been repaired.
The first Saturday in September every year is Marieholmsdagen. Then the town's many different craftsmen put their works up for sale.

Sweden has many authors of worldwide recognition including August Strindberg, Astrid Lindgren, and Nobel Prize winners Selma Lagerlöf and Harry Martinson. In total seven Nobel Prizes in Literature have been awarded to Swedes. The nation's most well-known artists are painters such as Carl Larsson and Anders Zorn, and the sculptors Tobias Sergel and Carl Milles.
Swedish 20th-century culture is noted by pioneering works in the early days of cinema, with Mauritz Stiller and Victor Sjöström. In the 1920s–1980s, the filmmaker Ingmar Bergman and actors Greta Garbo and Ingrid Bergman became internationally noted people within cinema. More recently, the films of Lukas Moodysson, Lasse Hallström, and Ruben Östlund have received international recognition.
